Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Meyuwe (“Meyuwe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes personal data in connection with Saeth and any associated software, technology, purchases, and websites (collectively, the “Services”).
Examples provided in this Privacy Policy are illustrative and not exhaustive. They do not permit us to process personal data for materially different purposes without providing notice or obtaining consent where required by law.
Privacy by design
Saeth is designed to keep your data private and on your device.
The desktop application does not contain advertising, telemetry, usage analytics, tracking technologies, or crash reporting. We do not receive your calendar contents or analytics about how you use the desktop application.
Limited personal data may be processed when you purchase or license Saeth, use our websites, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with the Services.
Data processed on your device
With your permission, Saeth accesses and processes calendar data to provide its features. This may include, for example, calendar content, event information, metadata, preferences, and locally generated analytics.
This information is processed and stored locally on your device. Saeth does not transmit your calendar data to Meyuwe or external services.
Saeth may store other information on your device as reasonably necessary to operate the application, such as settings, cached information, and license information.
Any synchronization between your device and a calendar provider is managed independently by that provider under your agreement with them.
Personal data we process
Depending on how you interact with the Services, we or parties acting on our behalf may process personal data such as:
- Identity and contact information
- Purchase, payment, billing, and transaction information
- License and activation information
- Communications, feedback, and support information
- Information you voluntarily provide
- Technical, device, browser, network, and request information
- Security, fraud-prevention, and diagnostic information
We may also process other information reasonably necessary to provide the Services, as disclosed when the information is collected, or as otherwise permitted by law.
We do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers, security codes, or similar sensitive payment credentials.
Purchases and payments
Purchases are sold and processed by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record and authorized reseller. Polar and its partners handle matters such as checkout, payments, taxes, invoices, refunds, disputes, and purchase fulfillment.
Meyuwe may receive limited customer, transaction, and license information where reasonably necessary to provide, manage, or support the Services.
Your use of Polar’s services is governed by the Polar Buyer Terms and Polar Privacy Policy.
Licensing
We and our licensing providers may process information reasonably necessary to issue, activate, verify, manage, or revoke a license.
This information may include, for example, a license key, activation information, validation records, technical identifiers, and network information ordinarily associated with an internet request.
License-related information may be stored locally on your device and processed remotely where necessary to provide or protect the Services.
Communications
We may use your contact information to communicate with you about the Services.
These communications may include, for example:
- Purchase, payment, refund, or license information
- Authentication or verification messages
- Responses to questions, feedback, or support requests
- Changes to our Services, Terms, or policies
- Security, legal, or operational notices
- Other communications reasonably necessary to provide the Services
These communications are transactional, legal, operational, support-related, or security-related. We do not use your purchase email address for unrelated promotional marketing.
Website information
The Saeth desktop application does not use cookies.
Our websites and their service providers may process technical information and use cookies or similar technologies where reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, or improve the websites.
This processing may support purposes such as remembering preferences, preventing abuse, maintaining security, diagnosing problems, and understanding the general performance of the websites. We do not use this information for targeted advertising.
How we use personal data
We may use personal data for purposes such as:
- Providing, maintaining, supporting, and improving the Services
- Processing and managing purchases, payments, refunds, and licenses
- Communicating with you
- Responding to requests, concerns, and feedback
- Protecting the Services and their users
- Preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use
- Enforcing our agreements and protecting legal rights
- Meeting legal, regulatory, accounting, and tax obligations
- Managing our business and Services
We may also process personal data for purposes reasonably compatible with those described above, as explained when the data is collected, or as otherwise permitted by law. We do not use calendar data for these purposes because Meyuwe does not receive it.
Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we may process personal data based on:
- Performance of our agreement with you
- Compliance with legal obligations
- Our legitimate interests or those of another party
- Your consent
- Other legal grounds available under applicable law
The applicable basis depends on the information, purpose, and circumstances of the processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.
How we disclose personal data
We do not sell personal data or share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may disclose personal data to parties such as:
- Affiliates, contractors, service providers, and business partners
- Purchasing, payment, licensing, communication, hosting, and security providers
- Professional advisers
- Authorities or other parties where required or permitted by law
- Parties involved in protecting our rights, users, or Services
- A successor or related organization in connection with a business transaction or restructuring
These parties may process personal data on our behalf or under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information at your direction, with your permission, or where otherwise permitted by law.
International transfers
Personal data may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate measures intended to protect personal data transferred internationally in accordance with applicable law.
Retention and deletion
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Factors affecting retention may include, for example:
- The duration of our relationship with you
- The operation and support of the Services
- Security and fraud-prevention requirements
- Legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations
- The resolution of disputes
- The establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims
Information stored locally remains on your device until removed through the application, your operating system, or other appropriate means. Removing the application may not automatically remove all associated data, preferences, exports, permissions, or secure-storage entries.
Deleting local data or deactivating a license does not necessarily delete purchase, payment, or other records that we or our providers must retain.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect the personal data we process. The measures used may depend on the nature of the information, how it is processed, and the risks involved. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may control certain processing through Saeth, your device settings, or the services provided by third parties.
Depending on applicable law, your rights may include:
- Receiving information about the processing of your personal data
- Accessing or receiving a copy of your personal data
- Correcting inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- Requesting deletion or restriction of personal data
- Objecting to certain processing
- Withdrawing consent
- Requesting transfer of certain personal data
- Lodging a complaint with a data-protection authority
To exercise your rights, contact us using the information provided at the end of this Privacy Policy. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and process your request. These rights may be subject to exceptions or limitations under applicable law.
Age requirements
The Services are not intended for anyone under 16 or anyone who has not reached the minimum age required in their country to consent to their use. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian as required by our Terms.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our Services, practices, or legal obligations. Any changes will apply going forward from their stated effective date.
